One Direction fans
So, basically, I’ve been seeing a lot of discrimination lately.
Hell, I’ll be the first to admit; I like the idea of Louis and Harry together and think they are gay for each other.
But that does NOT give me the excuse to use slurs like “faggot” and “queer”
These are the definitions of faggot and queer from the New Oxford American Dictionary
Faggot: 1. Informal, chiefly offense: a male homosexual
2. a bundle of sticks bound together (British spelling, though; in America, spelled “fagot”)
Queer: 1. Strange, odd
2. Informal, chiefly offense: homosexual (esp. of a man)
Are we really called them informal, chiefly offensive names for homosexuals? Are we really calling them a bundle of sticks? Are we calling them strange or odd?
Now, One Direction boys are strange and odd. But trying to define their sexuality by calling them queers, as in having a strange, odd sexuality, is terrible.
If anything, just say homosexual or gay.
Because feelings get spared with those types of words, you guys.
Honestly, I like the idea of Louis and Harry. But it’s only an idea. And an idea that can affect others in a bad way should not be endorsed. Think about it. If Louis and Harry really were gay, would you want to force them out of the closet? And how do you think El feels? How would you feel if your boyfriend, you being a beard or not, was called faggot and queer?
I bet you would feel offended
I bet El feels offended
I bet Louis feels offended
I bet Harry feels offended
I bet Zayn feels offended
I bet Niall feels offended
And, finally, I bet Liam is offended
Now, I only used Lourry as an example. But this is in every pairing between these five boys.
Guys. Stop it. I bet there is a lot of gay males and lesbians who feel left out and hurt and slashed in the fandom because people keep using these derogatory terms.
So, stop.
Now.
Me, in approximately 20 years
